@bubblybabs . In the making of this film Ginger danced so much that her feet actually bled through her shoes. Fred got blisters. Practice was something they both spent hours on. Actually, on this film more than 350 hours. Fred’s shoes are covered with what were called “spats”. He wanted the audience to look at his feet….and Ginger’s dresses were always designed to be comfortable for spinning.
